Vehicle Description 1976 Triumph TR6 RoadsterI got this TR6 from a fellow Triumph club member five and a half years ago - August of 2018.
He bought it new and used the car as his main transportation until 1984.
At that point he took it out of service and put it in his barn.
I promised that I would get it back on the street - after three years of disassembly, welding, rebuilding, and repair I did just that.
This is not a restoration - I like to think of it as a Survivor, that has had a lot of help.
Every nut and bolt has been taken apart, the rust has been cut away and new metal welded into the frame and the body.
All new bushings have been installed on the moving parts of the suspension front and rear.
The engine, transmission, and rear end have been gone through.
All hydraulics are either new or rebuilt.
Steering rack and wheel bearings checked and greased.
Rust Bullet and enamel paint was applied to the frame, and tub before reassembly.
I have been driving the car since April of 2022 - it's been Great! Runs and drives without issue.
Engine is strong and shifting smooth.
Compression is at 140, plus or minus 1 or 2 lbs.
at each cylinder.
Lights, turn signals, horn, wipers, radio, all work.
I'm selling the car so that I can move on to saving another Triumph.
The car could use paint, that said, it was resprayed sometime before 1984, and at that point fiberglass fenders were installed.
