Vehicle Description The owner of this 1972 Triumph TR6 Convertible states that he bought the car new, as a graduation present for himself in 1972, and has the original bill of sale to prove this.
This car remains unchanged with original paint, interior, engine, and transmission, the seller says.
He also states that the TR6 has not had any accident damage.
Only the folding top is new, he adds.
He reports that there is very little documentation for maintenance or any other work performed.
The owner is no longer physically comfortable to drive the car, he explains.
Sold from 1969-'76, the TR6 was Triumph's most successful model to that point, with 92,000 built and about 75,000 of those sold in the U.
S.
The roadster was essentially a re-body of the previous TR5/TR250, using the same chassis with trailing-arm independent rear suspension and even adopting that car's doors, windshield, and dashboard.
