This very nice 1957 Thunderbird was built on January 26, 1957, in Dearborn Michigan.
The car was originally sold to a physician.
They owned the car until 1998 when they decided to auction it off at a charity auction.
A Registered Nurse, co-worker of the physician knew the car and wanted to buy it.
She knew it was in excellent condition and had been carefully maintained.
When she found out about the auction, she offered to write a check to the charity in the amount of the auction price.
Her offer was accepted, and she became the second owner.
Originally, the car had a Colonial White hard top with a Willow Green Interior.
The current owner was told that the nurse felt the car would look nicer with a tan top and tan interior, which it is currently sporting.
She reportedly also had the exterior was freshened up in the original Willow Green body color.
In 2022 the nurse decided to sell the car which was purchased by the 3rd and current owner.
The current owner has other Thunderbirds in their collection, and they were attracted by the unusual Willow Green paint color.
In 2023 The current owner decided to buy a 1962 Thunderbird and needed to make room for the new purchase.
This led to the 1957 Tbird being offered for sale.
The current owner had the car inspected for licensing and discovered that it needed repair to make it safer to drive.
The brakes were all replaced, and the suspension components updated.
Other than that, the car retains its original engine, transmission, rear end, carpet, and convertible top.
The car runs and drives very nicely.
In its current condition, the new owner will enjoy a very nice looking and enjoyable car to drive and show.
The car is showing signs of wear that the new owner may want to address.
In the engine compartment the rubber seal on the top of the air cleaner is missing and the air cleaner has some minor tarnishing and surface rust that the new owner may want to correct.
There is some surface rust on the undercarriage.
The most serious rust is one area behind the passenger wheel wear as shown in the pictures.
Cosmetically a new owner may want to attend to some minor upgrades such as new seat cushions, carpet, and a convertible top to make it look fresh.
While there are no rips or tears, replacement will make the car an outstanding looking 57.
While the paint overall looks nice there are a couple of areas that have blemishes.
