Vehicle Description Is this another barn find? Not really.
I have owned this Vehicle since March of 1989.
In 1991, the timing belt slipped and cylinder heads / valves were damaged.
The vehicle was stored until in 1995, when the heads were overhauled / refurbished.
Thereafter, the vehicle was my main mode of transportation for couple of years, until it only became a weekend driver during the late 90s.
Thereafter, I obtained a certificate of non operation, and I would periodically start and run the engine, unit some time in March of 2005, when I realized that there was a coolant leak, possibly from the water pump.
I have not started the vehicle since, and it has been stored in a residential garage with a car cover.
The body is very clean for the age of the vehicle, and there is no evidence of rust.
The front driver's seat has a couple of sims which have come apart.
The vehicle has custom wheels, and a custom glass removable moon roof.
The original color of the vehicle was Silver, and it was subsequently painted red.
There are some wear on the tires, and may be in need of replacement, do to their age.
The vehicle also has custom steering wheel, and a pull out stereo with a cassette player.
The speedometer was replaced, and, adjusted to reflect approximately what the millage of the vehicle should have been at the time of the speedometer replacement.
However, it has not functioned after the replacement.
No other known major mechanical malfunctions, other than the coolant leak from the front of the engine during the last few stationary starts.
I may potentially be the third owner of the vehicle.
Also, the title shows as this vehicle first being sold in 1984, even though it's a 1982 model.
A great restoration project!!!!!!!!!!.
