Vehicle Description This 1982 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce Convertible has reportedly had just four owners, its most recent having bought it through a Hemmings classified ad about two years ago.
He describes it as a strong performer and a clean survivor.
The car came equipped with factory air conditioning, which the seller says has been converted to R134a.
He says he has kept the red Alfa garaged when not in use and was told previous owners had done the same.
The miles shown are believed to be original and accurate, and the seller does not believe the car has ever been in an accident.
The Carfax report, which picks up the car's history in 1991, shows no reported accident damage since that time.
Alfa Romeo built the rear-wheel-drive Spider from 1966 until 1995, making it one of the longest-running sports cars ever.
The Pininfarina-designed-and-assembled car received upgrades and design freshening over the decades.
Throughout its run, the Alfa Spider stuck to a mechanical formula of light weight; a twin-cam, aluminum four-cylinder engine; a five-speed manual transmission; and four-wheel disc brakes.
The 1982 Spider was considered the first of the Series 3 models, with Bosch electronic fuel injection replacing the old SPICA mechanical fuel injection.
