Vehicle Description 1934 Ford Model 40 PhaetonThis frame off restoration was on private display for about 3 years and was properly prepared for that time.
After my purchase from the consignment house, the car was gone through front to back and could be a daily driver today.
It is stored in a humidity controlled garage and driven the 25 mile round trip to our Post Office once or twice nearly every week weather permitting.
This past year, we did two Christmas parades and a few other events.
No heating, starting, running or driving issues ever! My nephew and I sorted out the lights and adjusted the clutch which did slip a little as the linkage just needed adjustment all good.
Part of the inspection for road worthiness was pulling wheels and checking brakes and bearings everything was touched and renewed on this restoration.
The brake backing plates were as shiny as the fenders and every part, shoes, springs everything new.
Leather seats are new and done perfectly, dash, steering wheel and a brand new (still in the box) correct front floor mat.
The engine purrs, and my wife accused me of 70 mph on the way to the grandkid's house but I told her the speedometer was only showing 65! No side curtains but who needs them? Any quality boating repair center can hook you up if it is required.
I had them for my Model A 150A Station Wagon and never used them over two winters.
These cars are NOT driven in the rain.
If you want a show car a good cleaning of those private parts and turn the judges loose! If you want a driver, this is the car for you.
It easily keeps up with traffic and you can roll past anyone you choose! This car is the same year as yes.
.
the Bonnie and Clyde car but they had a hard top.
AND the Greyhound IS part of the package!.
