Vehicle Description 1987 Buick Grand National 1987, One Owner, Buick Grand National offered for sale.
This extremely rare, highly collectible example was a special order with every factory option available in 1987 except the power antenna (due to reliability issues).
The order included the two most rare options:
the silver factory astroroof (CF5) and power driver's seat (WG1).
Only 2,560 Electric-sliding silver astroroof examples for ALL regals in 1987 were produced and far less for the Grand National.
As one of the few fully optioned Grand Nationals, it had one of the highest sticker prices and was one of the last builds prior to the GNX.
Our one owner example is a multi-time show winner and has documented 25,744 miles.
The GNX dashboard upgrade was installed at 11,134 miles.
The vehicle has been meticulously maintained, stored in its entirety in a climate-controlled garage and shows extremely well.
A fresh service was completed on 10/08/23 to include oil & filter change with Mobil 1 synthetic 5w30; radiator flushed and serviced with Fram conventional green Antifreeze and Coolant (F101); and brake fluid change.
This Grand National still maintains its Original Factory Paint finish.
One of the known problematic areas to vehicles from this era were the Bumper Fillers (i.
e.
, showing oxidation, cracks and breaks in the panels).
As a result, the Bumper Fillers were replaced from GSCA and refinished in the factory gloss black (19) in October 2010 to preserve its pristine appearance.
The body is completely rust free with only one or two minor bug chips.
In 1987, Buick rated Grand Nationals at 245 horsepower and 355 lbs.
torque.
While those numbers were a bit underrated, we have included many performance upgrades in this vehicle such as the GNX dash; 12.
5 second Hot & Spicy Recipe version 3.
1 from 1999 (full package completion in 2000); Kenne Bell air dam; performance computer chip and 2 1/2 inch stainless steel exhaust to name a few.
Pictures of the Hot & Spicy Recipe detail the full breakdown of items installed.
Several areas of the engine bay have been enhanced in chrome adding to this vehicle's appeal.
In total, well over $10,000 in upgrades and spare parts have been invested all while maintaining the factory stock appearance.
These additional spare parts are included in the asking price:
1.
New Front Headlight bezels.
2.
New Top Dash cover.
