Great car, in reliable condition, with a few noted needs:
1.
Rear window motors work well, but both rear windows have broken plastic guides (slides inside the window track) preventing the windows from working properly.
Parts are inexpensive and available, I just never use the back windows, and so haven't bothered to fix.
This is quite a common issue.
2.
A/C will eventually blow cold down to 61.
5 degrees (tested with thermometer) but takes several minutes to do so and should probably be colder.
It's been quite a while since the A/C was serviced and recharged, so I'd suggest that.
3.
Engine is not perfectly smooth at idle - this is a perfectionist issue.
Its something you can feel, but will not show on the tach.
Digital tach showed 20 - 80 RPM variation, so not necessarily significant, but its there and I don't want anyone to be surprised, even by this minor scenario.
There is zero impact to performance, power, drivability, cold or hot starts, etc - literally a non-issue, except that I can feel it.
I replaced several idle-related parts to correct a high idle condition and perhaps the best thing to do would be to take the car to a specialist to retune and adjust timing - OR.
.
just ignore it, because its honestly not that big of an issue - I'm really only mentioning it to be 100% transparent.
This is a great W126, with the all-important work done, and extensive records to back it up.
Classic and desired color combination, with an impeccable interior - including a dashboard that's still all in one piece! These cars easily go 250,00 - 300,000 miles when properly maintained.
