Vehicle Description 1986 Intermeccanica 356A Roadster RSOn behalf of the Seller, we are pleased to present this stunning 1986 Intermeccanica 356A Roadster RS, a special tribute to the iconic Porsche Speedster 356A rebuilt from the ground up by the famed Canadian VW/Porsche customization, restoration and manufacturing powerhouse, Intermeccanica.
When choosing the right Speedster, some go for the Concours-level, matching-numbers inevitable garage-queen, but for those who simply want to get out and enjoy a classic Speedster with total peace of mind, this is the car for you.
Complete with 2100cc horizontally opposed air cooled overhead valve engine with dual carburetors (upgraded from the original Single Solex style carburetor fitted from Intermeccanica), a four speed short shifter transmission, four wheel independent suspension with front and rear trailing arms and torsion bars, gas shock absorbers, dual circuit brakes and front discs, 165R15 Pirelli P3 steel belted radial tires with 5 1/2 x 15 chrome wheels with hubcaps, and a gorgeous Black acrylic enamel finish, showing only a few minor imperfections.
Under it's current ownership, the vehicle has had a completely new interior custom made for the car in beautiful camel tan leather, covering nearly all interior surfaces.
Additionally, the vehicle was fitted with an aftermarket sound system and Pioneer head unit, with leather perforated speakers hidden in the doors.
The vehicle has a Stayfast German manually operated black convertible top and matching tonneau cover.
Originally sold in Canada, this vehicle has spent the past few years in the United States where it has been driven regularly, garaged/trickled, and meticulously serviced with an extensive binder of receipts and original brochures included.
Interior 10/10 (no stretch marks, rips, tears or odors), Exterior 8.
5/10 (due to minor paint blemishes).
