S.
delivery Jaguar XK 120 OTS (Open Two-Seater) SE Roadster with approximately 48K original miles (TMU).
The story is that the seller's father purchased his first Jaguar XK120 OTS SE in 1957 after graduating college.
That particular car was only 15 cars from the final XK120 built.
The car was eventually sold in 1960 to get married.
The car always held a special place with him and with his wife's blessing, he undertook a search for another XK120 OTS SE in 1999 and eventually became the 3rd owner of this car in August 2000 with approximately 42,600 miles on it.
The odometer stopped working sometime around 2010, although it was driven sparingly before and after that point.
The car has been driven approximately 3-4K miles with its current owner and the 48,000 miles quoted is believed to be reasonably accurate.
This car was built & dispatched in August of 1954 (the final production month for the XK120's) - as the 151st car from the final XK120 produced (the last XK120 was chassis #676438).
In total 1,847 LHD XK120's were produced in 1954 and 6,436 LHD XK120's were produced between 1951 (the year the SE package was first offered) and 1954.
The car spent its entire life from 1954 to 2017 in PA before being relocated to FL.
This is a U.
S.
delivery car with the optional Special Equipment (SE) Package (unofficially called M for Modified in the USA) to Max Hoffman in New York.
The car was subsequently delivered to its first owner in Hanover, PA through Foreign Motor Sales out of Harrisburg, PA in November of 1954.
The SE Package takes the 3.
4L 3442cc 6-cylinder engine form 160HP to 180HP achieved through its ? higher lift twin overhead camshafts, an 8:

Engine # F4012-8S Chassis # S676287 Body # F8571 Gearbox # JL24428The car underwent restoration in the late 1980's under the stewardship of its 2nd owner.
The restoration changed body color from Cream with a Fawn top (hood) with a blue interior to its current configuration of a red body with a black interior and top.
After having been run sparingly by the sellers' father who had purchased the car in August 2000 from its 2nd owner (who owned the car since July of 1963), a mechanical refurbishment was commissioned by its current owner in 2022.
The mechanical refurbishment was completed by a well-regarded XK restorer near Tampa, FL who is available to validate the work performed, the car's specs and condition for serious buyers.

The car currently has four stock period correct steel wheels boasting the five optional center spinner knock off hub/locks (which were available from 1951).

This rare US Left Hand drive model was exported to the U.
S.
A.
where it was first sold on 6/18/1954 to its original Pennsylvania owner Reed Willit (although registered/titled with his wife Jane) through Foreign Motor Sales dealership out of Harrisburg, PA through the renown 'Max Hoffman Jaguar' distributor of New York.
The car resided with Mr.
Mrs.
Willet until July 1963, before it was then purchased by its second owner, Bill Flaherty, of Hanover PA, who cared for the car for the next 37 years until it was purchased by the sellers father, of Gettysburg, PA in August 2000.
The XK 120 was produced by Jaguar between 1948-54 and caused an absolute sensation when launched and was immediately destined to become one of the most collectible cars of all time.
Its name referred to its straight 6, 3442 cc 120 mph (193 km/h) top speed engine which was insanely fast for its day and made the XK120 the world's fastest standard production car at the time of its launch and a very successful racer which spurred Jaguar onto breaking many world speed records.
The roadster's lightweight canvas top and detachable side-screens stow out of sight behind the seats and its doors have no external handles; instead there was an interior pully cord which is accessible through a flap in the side screens when the weather equipment is in place.
The windscreen can be removed if desired.
The first 242 XK 120s were made had wood-framed open-top aluminum bodies with two seats; Perceiving the design line from the front wheels, over the hood, and to the rear was like watching a rolling wave:
smooth, calm, powerful and this design was to set the tone for all post war sports cars and continues to influence to this day, just look at the taper from the hood to the rear on Jaguar's 2018 F-Type.
Production switched to all-steel construction better for making the cars in volume by 1950.
It eventually came in three versions:
as an open two-seat roadster (OTS) and later, as a fixed-head coupe (FHC) in 1951 and a drop-head coupe (DHC) in 1953.
The XK 120's are more desirable than the later-model XK 140's and 150's, especially the ones designed before 1950 because those had aluminum skins, with racing history examples commanding many millions of dollars.
Any of these early XK120 models will truly capture the imagination and investment dollars of the world's premier sports car enthusiasts and collectors.
When the model debuted in 1948 at the Earls Court Motor Show in London, England it was the darling of the show and remains today as much of a showstopper as it did then, over 76 years later.
The car set numerous and now legendary speed records and was the fastest production car in the world in it's day and Jaguar used its engine for decades to come.
In terms of design, the two-seater roadster with its cfor more information please contact the seller.
