For Sale: 1963 Pontiac Bonneville in Bennington, Vermont for sale in Bennington, VT
Vehicle Description The 1963 Pontiac Bonneville, like the Division's other full-size models, received significant body styling updates that made an already enviable design even more so.
Its vertically stacked headlamps, alone, sparked an industry trend.
This restored 1963 Pontiac Bonneville Sports Coupe was purchased by my son and I last year, according to the seller.
As the story goes, I have a club jacket with an image of my 1964 Pontiac Grand Prix on the back, he recalls.
While at lunch with a friend one day, a fellow approached me and asked if I wanted to buy another Pontiac.
I told him probably not, but I know guys in the local Pontiac Club, so he should text me pictures and contact information.
I learned that his father-in-law had the car partially disassembled and repainted in 2000.
Its bumpers were replated, and they and the rest of the trim were taken home and stored in the barn.
For some reason, the car was put in a storage unit in town where it sat for more than 20 years.
The family was notified of the storage unit rental after he passed away, and the car was moved to the barn with its parts, awaiting a solution, since none of the family members had the ability or inclination to put the car back together.
He continues, I showed my son the pictures of it, and we decided to go look at it.
We had done similar work to my Grand Prix, so the reassembly wouldn't be a problem.
We bought it and finished it in time for the last Good Guys show here in Spokane, where it caught the eye of a staff photographer and received pictorial recognition in the Good Guys magazine.
It's a matching-numbers car that currently has 97,066 original miles, is in excellent condition, and runs as good as it looks.
