Its GT Equipment Group featured fog lamps, low-restriction dual exhausts with quad tips, GT stripes and emblems, heavy-duty suspension, 6-inch-wide GT styled steel wheels, Wide Oval tires, and a GT flip-open gas cap.
Power front disc brakes were required at extra cost with the 390 four-barrel engine.

This Mustang GT convertible's low production figures are listed on the included Marti Report.
According to the seller, it is one of only some 1,986 factory GT's that year.
The seller notes, It was built at San Jose, California, with a DSO of Denver, Colorado, where it was originally sold at Johnnie Harper Motors of Wheat Ridge, and consequently lived all its life in a dry garage in Colorado with long-time family owners.
This obviously rare example was never raced or abused, has no signs of any accidents or rust, and boasts its original red oxide coated floors.
