Bennington College seeks an engaging and highly organized professional to provide administrative support to the Office of Human Resources.

The Coordinator also serves as a dependable and trusted partner - providing support to employees and the Human Resources team on matters that contribute to and impact our employees' work experience.
The Human Resources Coordinator serves as the primary point of contact for inquiries to the Human Resources Office and is responsible for creating a welcoming and engaging experience for employees, visitors and guests.
The Coordinator handles a range of administrative tasks, encompassing all facets of human resources from recruitment to employee and labor relations.
Specifically, the position responds to all inquiries (received from staff, candidates, visitors), triages and as needed, redirects or escalates matters, manages calendars and schedules/coordinates all logistics for interviews/meetings/events, handles on- and off-boarding activities, and manages ADP/HRIS (data entry and reporting), among other duties.
Of critical importance is the ability to manage multiple and competing priorities while maintaining timely and diligent follow through.
The Coordinator works collaboratively with the Human Resources team and reports to the Associate Vice President of Human Resources.

The position requires the ability to take initiative, prioritize competing work and deadlines while producing accurate work and an ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
The position requires a minimum of 3 years' relevant administrative experience in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment; bachelor's degree and human resources experience preferred as well as demonstrated experience providing direct administrative support to one/more supervisors and experience handling administrative recruitment activities and on- and off-boarding activities.
Candidates must have experience working with a diverse population and evidence a commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.
Additionally, candidates must be highly organized, creative problem-solvers and possess excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships and develop partnerships across all areas and levels of the College.
The position requires a strong technology orientation/proficiency using Google Suite, Excel; applicant tracking system, Human Resources Information System experience preferred (ADP Workforce Now and eTIME), among others.
This position requires successful completion and acceptable results of a background check.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
