REPORTER The Bennington Banner, a 6,000-circulation six-day-a-week daily in southwestern Vermont is seeking a full-time beat reporter.
Our reporters cover police, school and municipal news as well as produce business features and human interest stories.
Some weekend work may be required.
We're looking for a social media-savvy journalist who is a self-starter and is able to write compelling articles on deadline as well as take photos and video.
The successful candidate will, on a daily basis, produce multiple stories for print and digital platforms, and update our website and social media sites including Facebook, Twitter and Tout with breaking news items.
Some experience, a bachelor's degree in journalism or related field as well as familiarity with AP style preferred.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
